Often times, when women do what is seen as a “man’s job,” they are either looked at as this golden unicorn who are the rarity to exist, or they aren’t believed when they say they can do the job. Recently, the Israel Defense Force’s Facebook page posted a video where female IDF soldiers were asked the question: “What makes you different from men?”
And, well, the women weren’t happy to be asked that. I can’t blame them either. The question implies that there intrinsically is a difference, as if the female soldiers can’t carry their weight or perform physical tasks as well as men. There is no real reason to ask the question. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the responses from the female soldiers, which you can check out below.
