There’s a lot of buzz around a new Netflix documentary called “One of Us,” a film that I really want to check out. It focuses on the price Hasidic Jews pay for leaving their communities–and what the aftermath is really like. One of the most harrowing scenes features a woman who says she was abused for over a decade by her husband.
The film also features people involved in Footsteps, which is an organization that supports and provides resources for ex-Hasidic people.
The documentary premieres on Netflix on 10/20. Check out the trailer below:
