We finally have a premiere date for the much awaited — and maybe slightly dreaded, because, you know, goodbyes are hard — final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”

The hit Amazon Studios show about the 1950s Jewish housewife turned aspiring standup comic after her acrimonious divorce will premiere its fifth season on April 14, 2023. That’s one day after Passover ends — so at least we’ll be able to comfort ourselves about this emotional farewell with some quality carbs.

The show was renewed back in February of 2022, shortly before the premiere of season four — which featured a very diverting bar mitzvah episode. It was also announced then that we would be saying goodbye to the Maisel crew this year, news which star Rachel Broshnahan called “bittersweet.”

“It’s […] going to be our last rodeo. Rest assured our tits are up and it’s going to be a hell of a final chapter,” she wrote.

We actually know quite a bit about the fifth season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” already from posts and interviews of the cast, crew and casting team  — including the fact that Mrs. Maisel will, in some shape or form, visit Israel in this last season. We can’t wait to see what show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer and writer Dan Palladino have in store for us.

The teaser to the final season, which was released this week, shows Midge being as glamorous as ever in a striking red gown, flanked by the shinning camera flashes and reporters vying for her attention while shouting her name.

Will this season finally show our heroine ascend to fame and fortune? Only time (well, a little over a month, really) will tell.
