Who knew you could get so emotional watching a Windex commercial? (Well, maybe if you watched “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” you’d have a soft spot for Windex.) For its latest “Give Life a Sparkle,” campaign, the cleaning solution company tugs at all the right heartstrings, showing a girl grow up.
The video starts with the girl’s father looking through a window in a hospital into the room with his newborn daughter. Then, he switches to him on a boat for work, then his daughter growing up into a teen, graduating, getting married, and giving birth to her own daughter. You know, sweet cycle of life stuff that makes us tear up.
And then, of course, the catch-phrase comes up:
“What’s between us, connects us.”
What sets the tone perfectly is also 13-year-old “America’s Got Talent” winner Grace VanderWaal’s song “Beautiful Thing” set in the background.
