Natalie Portman Or Scarlett Johansson May Star in ‘Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Sequel

It seems that Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are vying for the same film role. Back in 2008, they starred alongside of each other in “The Other Boleyn Girl,” but now one of them might appear in the “Girl With A Dragon Tattoo” sequel titled “The Girl in the Spider’s Web,” according to Variety

What we do definitely know is that the sequel won’t feature the previous leads, Rooney Mara or Daniel Craig, which is supposed to debut on October 5, 2018, directed by Fede Alvarez, best known for his work on “Evil Dead,” who released a statement say how he’s excited to find a new Lisbeth:

“I’m hugely excited and grateful for this opportunity. Sony has become family to me and I can’t think of a more thrilling project to celebrate our relationship. Lisbeth Salander is the kind of character any director dreams of bringing to life. We’ve got a great script and now comes the most fun part — finding our Lisbeth.”

Honestly, I can picture either Johansson or Portman taking on the role, considering they’ve both portrayed strong female leads in action films, notably Johansson has played Black Widow in the “Avengers” film series, while Portman shocked all by her role in dystopian film “V for Vendetta,” based on Alan Moore’s graphic novel.

Take a look at Johansson here:

But let’s not forget Portman either:

Who do you think will make the better Lisbeth? Only time will tell.
