Natalie Portman Calls Her Pregnancy a ‘Good Luck Charm’

In an interview this past Sunday with E Online, 35-year-old actress Natalie Portman said her babies are “good luck charms” when asked about early Oscar speculation for her latest movie “Jackie,” the new biopic where she portrays former First Lady Jackie Kennedy. The film is scheduled to open on December 2.

The Israeli-born actress is now pregnant with her second child, stated how her children have brought her luck:

“I think they’re good luck charms in life. They’re the best things. The best main miracles.”

So, why exactly did she say this? Because when Portman was pregnant with her first child, 5-year-old Aleph, she ended up winning her first Oscar for Best Actress in 2011. She further explained:

“I don’t necessarily connect it [to winning an Oscar]. But it is certainly a joy.”

Of course, what I’m more excited about is the fact that Portman is scheduled to play Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the first Jewish female U.S. Supreme Court justice, in a future film.
