Mayim had us kvelling this Sunday as she walked the red carpet at the 64th Primetime Emmys.
Over the last couple of weeks Mayim kept us up to date on her dress-search progress and when she finally decided on a gown by Pamella Roland, we knew what color to expect (a deep burgundy) but not how the complete look would come together.
Long story short: it came together beautifully.
The gown was complimented by Mayim’s mezuzah necklace, which was designed for her by North American Jewelers. The layered necklace was finished just days ago with a sapphire and a blood-free diamond.
The inspiration for the look was a Judith Leiber (fellow Jew, holla!) clutch in Bordeaux red and slate blue. It added a bright sparkle to the look.
In a pre-Emmys recap, Mayim broke down her top 10 Emmy party highlights from the weekend. When it came to the main event, Mayim was nervous but excited as the night began and she kept us posted of her status via her Twitter account.
As she made her way down the red carpet, Mayim was interviewed by E! News’s (and first-time mom) Giuliana Rancic. The two discussed Mayim’s accident, parenting and (of course) Kveller! Yes, this makes us feel very, very famous.
Although Julie Bowen captured the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Mayim certainly captured Tim Gunn’s attention. The fashion consultant tweeted “Mayim Bialik is a vision in red!” Take that, What Not to Wear!
Mayim called it a night around 10:30 p.m. tweeting, “Party time is over. Goodnight, Emmys 2012!” She’s now home, nursing a cold that she caught from Miles. During the Emmys, her nose started itching and she sneezed 12 times in the valet. How fun.
Look for an exclusive recap of the night by Mayim on Kveller tomorrow!
