Yesterday, Mayim Bialik wrote an important, and brave, message on her Facebook. It was written not just to fans, but to those who have beef with her. What’s the beef over? Her Zionist beliefs.
Besides the obvious fact that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, we’re proud that Mayim is outspoken about her opinions. As a public figure in a difficult industry, it would probably be easier for Mayim to stay quiet in hopes of “winning” more fans over, but we respect her honesty and the fact that she’s always straightforward.

Her message was loud and simple and clear:
“For those of you who refuse to follow me and discourage others from doing so because I am a Zionist (as if that’s a crime!!), I highly recommend you look up Zionism in a dictionary rather than using the definition perpetrated by anti-semitic media and leaders. Zionism is the belief that Jewish people deserve an autonomous homeland free from terrorism and threat to our global existence. if you don’t want to follow me because I believe in that, by all means don’t.”
