Influencer and model Sofia Richie just announced that she and her husband, music producer and self-described “nice Jewish boy” Elliot Grainge, are expecting their first baby. That means that Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie and sister of Nicole Richie, is about to be a Jewish mom. B’sha’ah tova!
The couple got married in a Jewish ceremony last April, with Westminster Synagogue Rabbi Thomas Salamon officiating. Grainge’s family felt that it was important that the ceremony be traditional, which meant that Richie officially converted to Judaism earlier that month, an experience she called one of the “greatest… of my life.”
The couple got married under a stylish chuppah, with Elliot wearing a tallit and kippah on top of his Tom Ford ensemble. They signed a ketubah, broke the glass, danced the hora, did a traditional (and once again, very classy) chairlift and even danced to Israeli Mizrahi star Omer Adam’s music.
On Instagram today, Richie posted a sweet picture of her and Elliot, revealing her bump, which she captioned “and then there were three.”
