If you don’t know who Laura Wasser is, you definitely know who she has divorced. Which is a pretty funny thing to be famous for–she’s kind of like the anti-Cupid. From Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries to Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale–Wasser is the Jewish divorce lawyer behind many major celebrity splits. She’s even referred to as ‘Disso Queen’ by many publications, including CNN.
Her foray into divorce law was not by accident either–her dad, Dennis Wasser, is a well-known divorce attorney himself, both being featured in a 2011 Town & Country article on the best divorce lawyers in the country. He even gave her the feared initials that spell ‘LAW.’ Pretty crazy, right? Another motivation for her career path was her own divorce. She’s even written a book about how to amicably divorce, titled “It Doesn’t Have to Be That Way: How to Divorce Without Destroying Your Family or Bankrupting Yourself.”

In an interview with CNN, she explained how celebrities, despite all of their money, have the same fears everyone else has, stating, “Having done this for a while, you do realize that everybody has the same issues. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or how much power you have, you are always afraid you’re never going to see your child.”
