Mazel tov to Jewish “Hamilton,” “Blindspotting” and “The Little Mermaid” star — and “Puppy for Hanukkah” singer — Daveed Diggs, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Emmy Raver-Lampman (“Umbrella Academy”).
The fairly private couple revealed they were pregnant back in September, and have shared a couple of pretty cute pregnancy shots since, but have mostly been mum about the baby’s due date or any other details.
This Thursday, however, they shared a picture of tiny baby feet (so cute!) captioned “dear baby, you have forever changed us. our hearts are filled with a kind of love we never thought possible. we love you more than you will truly ever know. thank you for choosing us. now please…go the f*ck to sleep. love, mom and dad.”
That last bit is a reference to the children’s book of the same name by Jewish author Adam Mansbach, who got a shout-out from Diggs in the comments for “the realest children’s book of all time.” We concur.
The couple didn’t reveal the baby’s sex or name, but we do know they own some very cozy knit pants, and they’re probably hearing the best lullaby renditions of all time. News of baby Diggs-Raver-Lampman came on the same day that Israeli “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot did her own very trendy surprise baby reveal on her Instagram, sharing that she had just given birth to her fourth daughter following a pregnancy she didn’t share with her fans or followers. We love having so many new Jewish babies to celebrate.
