How to Help the Charleston Shooting Victims

The tragic terrorist attack at a church in Charleston, South Carolina that claimed the lives of nine African-Americans has shaken me (and the rest of the country) to the core. There are no words to describe how horrendous this hate crime was, and I can only imagine what the families, friends, and fellow community members of the fallen are feeling right now.

It’s hard to think of what to say or what to do in light of this terrible event, but one thing we can do is send our prayers and aid to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in the form of donations. The church is currently open to charitable gifts via Paypal on their website, which you can find here.

Additionally, TIME reports another website for contributions to a fund is expected to be up and running by noon on Friday.

Checks can also be mailed to:

Mother Emanuel Hope Fund

P.O. Box 304

Charleston, SC 29402

May their lives be for a blessing.
