This year, we definitely need a lot of Jewish light. Yes, Hanukkah may still be a month away, starting on December 25 this year (it’s a Chrismukkah miracle!), but we could all use some Jewish retail therapy right now. That means it’s time to get your family their Hanukkah pajamas.
I am a huge fan of Hanukkah merch — I love Hanukkah sweaters and decorations, and am an even bigger fan of Hanukkah PJs! After all, for a typically home-based holiday that’s all about a jug of oil lasting eight nights, you certainly need some comfy nighttime attire.
This is my fifth year in a row of curating Hanukkah pajama offerings from around the internet, and it does fill me with Jewish joy to see that there are more delightful, and even some more colorful, Hanukkah pajama options out there. While I do wish we had even more color options (most brands still lean very heavily on navy and other shades of blue), it’s nice that small and big brands alike have made making Hanukkah pajamas a yearly tradition, especially in a year when a lot of us want to celebrate Jewish pride. This year also brings with it some fun new additions and even a Rugrats Hanukkah pajama set.
So, without further ado, here is a pretty comprehensive list of all the Hanukkah pajamas available this year, including matching pairs for the whole family.
So put on your pajamukkahs — it’s almost time for Hanukkah.
Matching Family Hanukkah pajamas:
Midrash Manicures Tie-Dye Hanukkah Pajamas
The tie-dye touch in these new Hanukkah pajamas from Midrash Manicures is subtle but vibrant. The dark blue color of the fabric perfectly compliments these colorful menorahs, dreidels and Jewish stars that are filled with a technicolor tie-dye print. For the sake of full disclosure, I will say that the creator behind the brand, Rabbi Yael Buechler, has been gifting her holiday pajamas for my kids and they are absolutely their favorite nightwear year round. The 100% cotton is super soft and comfortable, though I would recommend sizing up, as the site suggests. Last year’s Hanukkah splatter pajamas are also still available in most sizes. Bonus: Use code Kveller20 at checkout for 20% off.
Monica + Andy Hanukkah Pajamas
This year’s Monica + Andy collection is a navy blue pajama with yellow and blue dreidels and menorahs. I do love this brand for its quality and versatility — they also offer really lovely Hanukkah dresses and outfits beyond pajamas, with lovely embroidery — but I recommend sizing up as these are a snug fit.
Little Sleepies Hanukkah Playful Dreidels Pajamas
Friends, Little Sleepies killed it this year! They’ve got cute illustrated dreidels and a rainbow menorah that’s just so vibrant and really makes these pop in the array of yellows and blues. Like all their offerings, these are made out of 95% viscose from bamboo, which is a material I personally love the feel of.
After last year’s somewhat disappointing Hanukkah pajamas, this year, Target has me thrilled with its scrumptious Hanukkah cookie print. While this isn’t the first Hanukkah pajama with Hanukkah cookies on it, this print just puts a smile on my face, and I love that they have more merch with it than just the pajamas.
This year’s Disney Store Hanukkah pajamas are royal blue and have illustrations of Mickey and Minnie playing dreidel on them and cuddling among menorahs, latkes, dreidels and other goodies. My favorite thing about the 2024 Hanukkah Disney Store pajamas is that they have girls’ Hanukkah nightshirts, I honestly would love more Hanukkah nightshirt options in general, but this one has these lovely ruffled sleeves that are such a fun touch.
Hanna Andersson Hanukkah Pajamas
Last year, Hanna Andersson gave me great joy with their rainbow Hanukkah pajamas. This year, those pajamas are back, but we also have them on a lovely navy blue background for the kiddos and a more classic, blue and yellow set which features a dove carrying an olive branch in its beak, a symbol of peace, as well as a dreidel with the correct Hebrew letters, gifts and more. While Hanna Andersson pajamas are on the pricier side on this list, I will say few brands feel quite as sturdy and long lasting; the cotton on these is heavy and warm and there’s a lot of fun options, including women’s nightshirts.
While it does bear the usual Hanukkah color scheme, this year’s Old Navy Hanukkah pajamas may be my favorite, with a hand-drawn feel and a sweet floral bird that I’m going to choose to believe is a dove to symbolize peace.
Children’s Place Hanukkah Matching Pajamas
I am a sucker for anything glow-in-the-dark and Hanukkah is the perfect holiday for just that. Children’s Place took notice by making their yearly Hanukkah pajamas shine bright even in the darkest room for the second year in a row. This year their pajamas have an intricate Fair Isle style pattern in the pants that feels refreshing despite the very traditional color scheme.
Lazy One Flapjacks Matching Christmas Pajamas
Ignore the name on this listing — if you’ve always dreamed of wearing onesies to match your little ones, look no further than these one-piece Hanukkah pajamas that come in every size for every member of your family. The butt flap is honestly ridiculous and great for a humorous photoshoot.
I love that this company is called Lev, the Hebrew word for heart. Their Hanukkah print features the standard dreidels and menorahs, and a little bit of an unusual blue frosted sufganiyah (jelly doughnut). Aside from pajamas, they have other Hanukkah wares, like blankets and pet bandanas and a very cute dreidel Hanukkah lovey.
Fashion Nova Matching Hanukkah Pajamas
The print on these pajamas is nothing new, though I love the button-up top and the yellow stitching on the pockets of the adult ones. I love even more that Fashion Nova now has Hanukkah pajamas.
Latkes and Light Pajamas from ModernTribe
The online Judaica shop ModernTribe launched its own Hanukkah pajamas last year and they are a feast for the eyes. Not only are they full of colors, but they feature incredibly appetizing latkes and sufganiyot, and most importantly of all, the Hanukkah staple that is the dinosaur menorah. There’s just something to pajamas designed by a Jewish person who is fully embedded in the Jewish merch market and knows what’s up.
Hanukkah Fair Isle Pajamas from Sara’s Prints (Kid / Adult)
Is there anything that projects cozy more than a Fair Isle print? I think not! These Hanukkah pajamas are made out of 100% cotton, and are simple and comfortable.
Night Lights Pajamas from Burt’s Bees
This set of pajamas from 2023 features two piece sets, onesies and pet bandanas with a watercolor-inspired striped print with lit candles. The colors are traditional, as is the motif, but it’s understated and very aesthetically pleasing.
Another very simple and clean (and honest!) Hanukkah pajamas option from last year.
Hanukkah Pajamas from Joy Street Kids (Women / Girls nightshirt / Kids / Baby / Bib)
If I had all the expendable income in the world, would I spend almost $120 on a single pair of pajamas? I don’t know…. but I have to say that these Joy Street Kids Hanukkah pajamas are so up my alley as a “more is more” type of person. It’s got a scribbly, whimsical Hanukkah print with so much on it — gifts, doughnuts, gelt, a jar of oil, a menorah, applesauce, the lyrics from “Oh Hanukkah,” the Hebrew letters of the dreidel with their transliteration and more. It also has some decidedly non-Hanukkah elements like a pomegranate and a shofar (also a challah, but Hanukkah and Shabbat always coincide at least once so that can be forgiven), but if you love to celebrate all aspects of being Jewish, this is a fun one to wear year-round, especially considering the high price point.
Petite Plume Hanukkah Pajamas from Maisonette (Women’s Nightshirt / Women’s / Men’s / Kids’)
Are you very fancy? Do you want to live your best Hanukkah influencer life with artisanal latkes and homemade applesauce cooked on your farmhouse stove? Then these pajamas from Petite Plume, purveyors of cozy celebrity sleepwear, launched last year, are for you. Is this print anything to write home about? Oh, absolutely not, just a mere repeating pattern of Jewish stars and menorahs. And yet, it is classic and classy, and will definitely feel like you’re a Hanukkah VIP.
Hanukkah pajamas for babies and kids:
My First Hanukkah Baby Pajamas from Carter’s
Rumor has it that if you have a baby celebrating their first Hanukkah, they need pants with dreidels on their butts.
Walmart Shine Bright Rugrats Hanukkah Pajamas
The most joyful Hanukkah merch moment I’ve ever experienced was when Target released their Hanukkah Rugrats sweaters in 2022. This year, Walmart is trying to recreate that high by offering Rugrats Hanukkah pajamas, which are, unfortunately, only for kids. These pajamas feature Tommy (who’s Jewish!), Chuckie and Angelica playing a competitive game of dreidel, and are perfect to put your kids in as they watch the show’s original Hanukkah special and recent reboot episode.
Clover Baby & Kids Hanukkah Pajamas
Oh my goodness! I just love these scribbly, joyful cartoony patterns from Clover Baby, which feature the most animated dancing latkes. Perfect for that Hanukkah dance party.
Burt’s Bees kid’s Hanukkah pajamas
This pajama print from Burt’s Bees is called “Hanukkah joy” and joyful is indeed what it is, with touches of purples and greens, and dreidels with all four letters on them.
Primary Festive Lights Pajamas
My kids have sensitive skin and we love Primary’s clothes because they never seem to irritate. I’m also obsessed with their gender-neutral approach to clothing. For the the second year in a row, Primary is offering Hanukkah pajamas with a lovely pattern of candles, gifts and Jewish stars.
ColorMe Pajamas from Sara’s Prints
They’re pajamas and an art project — in other words, an ideal Hanukkah present! These pajamas come with a set of fabric markers you can use to color the dreidels on the shirt (or wherever else your budding artist decides to draw). They come in sizes 3 to 12.
Rifle Paper Co. Hanukkah Organic Family Pajama from Pottery Barn Kids
I love florals and Hanukkah and these lovely pajamas, which come in both babies and kids sizes. They’re so full of pretty details that I can almost forgive it for its traditional color scheme.
These kids’ pajamas are so cute! They’re not blue (bonus points!), they have colorful menorahs and they say “light up the night.” Topical and cheerful!
Llamakkah Pajamas from ChosenThreadsApparel (Etsy)
The Llamakkah pun — which combines the word Hanukkah with the South American mammal — has become a modern staple when it comes to Hanukkah gear, from cards to sweaters. No one really knows where it originated, but as a lover of both llamas and Hanukkah, I am here for it!
These pajamas have a llama print on the bottoms and an adorable llama on the top. You can get a boy or a girls version — the boy (?!) llama has glasses and a bow tie and the girl (?!) llama has a bow in her ear and a scarf. I do believe neither are a scientifically accurate portrayal of male and female llamas, but they are pretty darn cute!
Glow in the Dark Hanukkah Pajamas from Sara’s Prints
Hanukkah is the festival of lights — and is there a better light than a glow-in-the-dark one?! While these pajamas are fairly simple with blue and white stripes, there’s a glow in the dark menorah on them, which will help improve nighttime candle-lightings for all.
These Hanukkah pajamas are pretty basic, but if you are already shopping at the Gap you might want to add them to cart.
Hanukkah pajamas for grown-ups:
This Is My Pajamaka Hanukkah Pajamas from Fashion Nova (Men’s)
I’ve been waiting so long for someone to make a pajamaka pun on pajamas and Fashion Nova finally has. Love the way these are styled on the site, and might spend all Hanukkah going outside in Hanukkah pajamas wearing earmuffs and warm fake fur-lined boots.
Hanukkah adult onesie from Tipsy Elves
A Hanukkah adult onesie from the partly Jewish team at Tipsy Elves! This one has pockets, which, as we know, make every piece of clothing 200% better.
