The best thing in the world has officially happened. Yes, “Golden Girls” action figures now exist–and they debuted at Comic Con in New York this week. Yup.
According to New Now Next, toy company Funko just revealed the Golden Girls ReAction Figures set, including Rose, Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia in all their 1980s Miami-senior-citizen glory. As of now, they will only be sold to those who won the lottery for access to Funko’s Comic Con booth.
However, there is good news–you don’t have to cry too much. They’re also available on Target’s website as an online exclusive. This means you can get your 6-year-old into the “Golden Girls” and watch reruns together. Perfection.
Apparently, a lot of people actually want them, too. Funko’s marketing director Mark Robben told ABC News:
“The response to our Golden Girls products has been wild. We almost weren’t prepared for the excitement. We created these as a passion project initially, and were blown away when it started trending on social media.”
It’s definitely a very exciting time to be alive.
