Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds were a mother-daughter duo that gave us all #relationshipgoals. They had a close tight-knit relationship that was also full of complications–essentially, it was real. The fact that they passed away only a day apart of each other was both deeply tragic, but also indicative of their deep relationship.
This is why it’s appropriate–and heartfelt–that they are being memorialized together with a shared burial site. Their headstone recently debuted, and it’s absolutely moving. Both Fisher and Reynolds were buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood. The new headstone features both of their names, birth and death dates in front of a pink marble backdrop, showing both women together.
For their fans, this public headstone is a great way to pay their respects–and in general, it’s amazing to see two women being celebrated for their stunning work and their relationship together. Very rarely are relationships between women commemorated–so it’s refreshing to see this happen, especially now.
