Sara Nuss-Galles
Born in Kyrgystan to Jewish Polish refugees who fled the Nazis, Sara Nuss-Galles mines her roots for telling details of daily life. Her publications include The NYT, The LAT, Lilith, Catamaran, community media and anthologies, and she was featured as a guest columnist on NPR’s Marketplace. She also writes humor and bawdy tales, and lives with her husband, artist Arie Galles, in Southern California.
