Naomi Mercer is a career Army officer and a literary scholar specializing in feminist utopian and dystopian writing. Her work has previously appeared in Hip Mama and WisCon Chronicles 8, and her book, Toward Utopia: Feminist Utopian Writing and Religious Fundamentalism is due out from Femspec next month. She lives and works along the banks of the Hudson River with her husband, daughter, and two cats.
