Gal Beckerman is a journalist who has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. His first book, When They Come for Us, Well Be Gone: The Epic Struggle to Save Soviet Jewry, was published in September and won the 2010 National Jewish Book Award.
