Aayisha Ruby Gold

Aayisha Ruby Gold is stage and screen actor, theater director, published writer, wife, and mother. She earned her BA in Dramatic Arts & Literature from Columbia College Chicago in 2013. Over the course of 17 years with Piven Theatre Workshop, she had the privilege and pleasure to work under the tutelage of Joyce Piven. In 2017 she won the Ira Aldridge/Black Theater Alliance’s Phylicia Rashad Award for Most Promising Actor for playing the title role in  Hedda Gabler at the Red Theater. She has appeared in many independent films and on series such as Chicago P.D. She is also an advocate for women at the Cook County Jail and teaches theater therapy to child survivors of traumatic experiences.
