Candles are lit to create a warm ambience for this day of rest, and to officially mark the beginning of Shabbat. When you make this craft, you’ll have a beautiful handmade box to store your candles from week to week.
You will need:
Empty green or clear plastic berry container
Ribbons or yarn
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Tie the ribbon to one of the bottom corners of the berry basket.
2. Weave the ribbon through the holes in all of the basket’s sides.
3. When you are done tie off the end of the ribbon so that it cannot unravel.
4. If you are using a clear plastic box, you can weave ribbons through the top holes and then the bottom ones, so you can still open the box.
