The Jewish kiddie-rock group The Macaroons’ latest album, Let’s Go Coconuts! offers an appealing and accessible lullaby in English. “Go to Sleep” delivers that important message with a catchy tune, bold Queen-style harmonies, and a guitar-based sound reminiscent of the Beatles, the Kinks, and early They Might Be Giants. No doubt playing (and especially singing) this tune will send the message that you’re a hip Jewish mom or dad…even if your dancing is, well, less than hip.
