Will Meghan Markle’s Jewish BFF Jessica Mulroney Style the Royal Baby Bump?

The Internet is aflutter with news of the royal baby. The pregnancy was just announced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle via their official social media channel, Kensington Royal, everyone is kind of freaking out.

The couple is beginning their first royal tour today — to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand — and our guess is that they decided a pregnancy would be too difficult to hide.

Since the pregnancy news broke, a lot of the coverage has focused on how Markle’s been hiding a bump (though, even if she’s 3 months pregnant, as it’s thought, it’s probably not that hard to hide). Heather, of the fuggirls, tweeted “I wonder if, bc she’s slim, SHE was excitedly noticing changes early on and fretted everyone would?”

Nonetheless, it’s 16 days of royal engagements (which means more than 70 events), and who knows how many outfits that is. It’s hard being a duchess! (We kid.) (We actually have no idea what it’s like being a duchess.)

While everyone is feigning surprise at the royal baby announcement — Meghan’s buttoned up coat at Princess Eugenie’s wedding kinda gave it away, or at least intensified the speculation — you know who probably knew the split-second the royal fetus’ existence was confirmed?

That’s right: Markle’s Jewish BFF, Jessica Mulroney.

Mulroney, who saved the day with regard to Markle’s style this summer (and received a rare public thank you from a brand), will be joining her expecting pal on her royal trip.

Multiple sources have reported the Jewish mom and stylist is set to join her best friend on her big royal trip. An Instagram story posted on Sunday from @jessicamulroney showed Mulroney and her husband at the Toronto airport.

Plus, last week, her husband posted a snap of the Invictus Games logo that says “Invictus Games coming to Australia” and captioned it “and so are we! See you next week, Sydney!” tagging his wife.

The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry, are an international sporting event for wounded, injured, or sick armed service personnel and veterans. Incidentally, it’s where Meghan and Harry made their first public appearance, just over a year ago. Oh, how far we’ve come. They’ll attend the games in Australia on October 20.

As Australian tabloid Perth Now explained, Jessica and Ben Mulroney are headed to Sydney “to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and will be there in an ‘unofficial’ capacity. This means that they will pay for their own expenses during the trip — unlike the 10 staff traveling with the royal couple.”  (One of those staff of ten? Markle’s private secretary Samantha Cohen — who is, as we covered previously, not Jewish.)

What can we expect for maternity style from the Duchess and Mulroney? We actually have NO clue. We tried scrolling back on Mulroney’s Instagram, but it only goes to 2013, shortly after she gave birth to her daughter, Ivy. (Her older sons, Brian and John, 8, nearly stole the show at the royal wedding.) There’s one image on the internet of a pregnant Jessica with her husband at a fundraiser.

But do not fear: We will keep you updated on the latest Jessica Mulroney news.
