What do Jonah Hill’s mom and Adam Levine’s mom have in common?
The answer is: a lot.
In addition to being moms to three of the most famous Jewish celebrities working today — Sharon Feldstein to both is mom to actors Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein; Patsy Noah’s son Adam Levine is Maroon 5’s frontman — the pair have a long history as friends.
Feldstein and Noah met in 1973 through their boyfriends, who had met in the principal’s office in junior high. Both New York natives, they remained friends after they both moved to Los Angeles and had kids, becoming godmothers to each other’s children.
(Their kids, too, grew up very good friends: as Hill explained, “we lived at each other’s houses.” Hill would later officiate Levine’s wedding to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo. Even more, Jordan Feldstein, Beanie and Jonah’s brother, was manager to Levine’s band Maroon 5 for fifteen years before he tragically died at age 40 in 2017.)
And now, the two longtime pals decided to put their famous mom status to good use: Feldstein and Noah founded a charity, Your Mom Cares, dedicated to “raise awareness for kids who don’t have a voice.” This means they “work to ensure that all kids have access to quality health care, a safe place to sleep, meals on the table, and a strong education.”

Noah and Feldstein recruited other celebrity moms to join their cause: Alicia Keys’ mom, Terria Joseph, and Michael B. Jordan’s mom, Donna Jordan, are also involved.
In March, the group’s first project came to fruition: they donated $50,000 to the Children’s Health Fund. As Noah explained, their kids “have careers that are in the public eye and we thought this would help us bring attention to important causes.”
We’re excited to see what they do next.
