Did you know that Gal Gadot was ready to quit acting right before she landed the “Wonder Woman” role? Well, she was. Thankfully, she didn’t.
It was all because she got the role as Wonder Woman first in “Batman vs Superman,” which also starred Jesse Eisenberg (although sadly, didn’t do so hot in the box office). Why was she ready to give it all up? Gadot told “The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter” podcast why: “I had so many almosts for big, great things, but I was never a big enough name … It was always me and the big name.”
Apparently, however, she was almost cast as Furiosa in “Mad Max: Fury Road,” which ended up going to Charlize Theron. Considering Theron did a killer job (pun intended), it seems like it all worked out, especially considering Gadot starred in the biggest global live-action film ever by a female director.
