Honest Company was started by actress Jessica Alba in 2011. It’s a trendy, well-packaged brand with all kinds of nice-looking products, from diapers with cool prints to wipes and sunscreen and lotions—and they’re big on marketing themselves to the organic-minded consumer.
But some allege they’re not quite as honest as they claim to be–in fact, if you have recently bought items from Honest Company, you may be eligible to get your money back (through cash or company credit). This is because of a class action settlement over the supposed use of certain toxic chemicals in the products.
The items in question are diapers, cleaning supplies or personal care products bought between January 17, 2012 and July 10, 2017.

According to website Hip2Save, “customers are eligible to receive up to $2.50 for up to ten products without proof of purchase OR a calculated share of the settlement on unlimited products with proof of purchase (based on the original amount paid). If you feel you are eligible for a refund, head here for more details and to fill out the claim form which must be submitted by October 23, 2017.”
While Honest Company is officially denying the claims, the settlement occurred in order to avoid further legal fees–so you may want to stop using the products in question just in case.
