The timing couldn’t be better. Chelsea Clinton just announced today that she will be publishing a children’s book titled “She Persisted,” which is named after the line used to silence Elizabeth Warren during Jeff Sessions’s confirmation hearing.
Clinton made the big announcement on Twitter, mentioning the book will be out on May 30, 2017, which is super soon. The book will tell the stories of 13 famous women who made U.S. history, including Harriet Tubman, Helen Keller, Nellie Bly, Maria Tallchief, Claudette Colvin, Clara Lemlich, Ruby Bridges, Margaret Chase Smith, Sally Ride, Florence Griffith Joyner, Oprah Winfrey, and Sonia Sotomayor. The final woman is a secret, for now, although I have my guesses. I’m sure you do, too.

Considering Clinton is the daughter of two politicians, it’s not hard to see why she would write the book, especially in a time where a woman has yet to become president in the U.S. In a statement, Clinton explained why she wrote the book, saying she “want[ed] to send a message to young readers around the country — and the world — that persistence is power.”
