The nominations for the 2017 Academy Awards are officially here, and they include Natalie Portman’s nomination for her portrayal of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the film “Jackie.” This would be the second Oscar for the Jerusalem-born actress.
Portman, now 35, won an Oscar for her lead role in “Black Swan” in 2010. At the time, she was pregnant with her first child, Aleph. Ironically, she’s currently pregnant with her second child–could this be a good omen? I hope so for Portman.
