Our favorite Olympic gymnast, Aly Raisman, just opened up about her dating life: She’s been secretly dating American football tight end Colton Underwood since the VMAs (which took place this past August). They were publicly spotted yesterday at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Ceremony 2016 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The 22-year-old told PEOPLE exclusively that the couple purposefully “kept it quiet for a while.” They have been dating since the VMAs in August after 24-year-old Underwood asked Raisman out over social media. She said:
“We happened to both be in Denver at the same time. I was there for less than 12 hours, he was flying in for just a few days. it just ended up working perfectly.”
Raisman also revealed that Underwood drove 90 minutes back and forth to meet her for their second and third dates–that’s commitment. The Jewish athlete has even met Underwood’s family and will be seeing them for the holidays. But that’s not all–she also hinted to them collaborating together, stating:
“I’m just looking forward to 2017. I think it’s going to be an exciting year for everyone.”
