There’s a new Jackie Kennedy biopic called “Jackie,” which stars Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman as the iconic first lady. The film has already received positive feedback from the critics at its Venice Film Festival debut last month. Now, the trailer officially went public.
The film, directed by Pablo Larrain, focuses on flashbacks from the first lady’s life, such as the early days she shared in the White House with her husband, John F. Kennedy, and their two young children, Kennedy’s assassination, and her brief marriage to Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. The trailer, appropriately, is set to Richard Burton’s Broadway recording of the “Camelot” theme.
35-year-old Portman is seen dressed in the infamous pink suit and pillbox hat Jackie wore in Dallas, and says formidably in the trailer, “There won’t be another Camelot — not another Camelot,” which definitely intrigues the audience.
