Mayim Bialik usually gives us insight into her parenting world (especially when it comes to raising Jewish kids), like why she eats vegan, why she became a lactation consultant, and more. Now she opened up her home to us–and gave us a quick lesson into the significance of the foods we eat on Rosh Hashanah (like apples and honey!) via a video she posted on Facebook.
She was joined by two members from the Maccabeats, as well as her two sons. The group makes a lot of excellent dad jokes (which makes it all the more endearing!), like, “We eat dates because it’s related to a word that means ‘to end.’ It’s a very old tradition–you might say we dated ourselves.” Gotta love it.
