Debbie Stark is a teen who helped her team win first place at a cheerleading competition. What makes this so unusual is the fact that Stark has cerebral palsy and only began training this year. She’s already earned champ status at the Australian All-Star Cheerleading Federation’s Special Abilities category.
When asked how she feels being an inspiration to so many people, Stark replied by saying that she felt “overwhelmed,” especially because she “didn’t think she would inspire any people.” Well, she couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s amazing what perseverance, dedication, and passion can do.
