Hanukkah has been over for a week, but chances are your supply of chocolate gelt is still running high. I’m pretty sure there’s of stash of gelt from last year in my cabinet, and I’m a self-proclaimed chocolate addict. (Rumor has it, if they’re left in their little mesh bag for too long, the coins will start multiplying.)
If you’re sick of eating it the old-fashioned way, and you’re not planning an epic dreidel game for at least another year, check out this recipe for Spiced Hot Chocolate made with Hanukkah gelt up at MyJewishLearning.com. It had me at spiced. And hot. And chocolate.
Can we ask?
It's important to us to keep the warm, joyfully Jewish community on Kveller accessible for all. Reader donations help us do just that. Can you spare a few to keep Kveller free? (We'll love you forever.)
