– Marissa Jaret Winokur, Hairspray star and current co-host of The Talk, blogs about scouting preschools for two-year-old Zev in LA. Her plan to play the role of a “well-put together mom” backfires, resulting in blackberry fights and unnecessary lip gloss. Marissa, who has beaten cervical cancer, has also announced she would like a second surrogate child to add to the family. (People)
– Helena Bonham Carter, who comes from a long line of Jewish grandparents with complicated names, is taking parenting classes to become a better mom. The actress claims “no one taught me what to do,” so I guess heading to school is the only obvious route. – David Arquette, who recently separated from wife Courtney Cox, has said that 6-year-old Coco is “the most positive thing in my life.” It’s hard not to feel bad for the guy–he’s split from his wife of eleven years, and he’s stuck with a daughter whose name is solely an homage to her mom’s first and last name. – And for those following the epic is-she/isn’t-she drama of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe’s pregnancy, wonder no more. Zoe has confirmed, twitterly, that she is indeed pregnant. Right before the announcement, she tweeted that, “an outfit w/o jewels is no outfit at all,” so I’m pretty pumped to see what that baby will be swaddled in.
