Billie Lourd, daughter of Jewish actress Carrie Fisher, is starring in the new Star Wars film. Her mom famously played Princess Leia, so you’d think Lourd would be cast as Leia’s daughter, but apparently that isn’t the case, according to PEOPLE. She has inherited the cool hair style, however.

“I made [my mom] watch it at least once a week–and on special occasions I would make her get in a lightsaber fight with me. Let’s just say the more trained Jedi usually won.”
Unlike her industry parents (her dad Bryan Lourdis also agent), she studied religion and psychology at New York University prior to joining Fox TV’s show “Scream Queens.”
As of now, her role in the film still remains a mystery. She does cite her mom as an acting inspiration, however, which is pretty awesome:
“When I saw the [original] movie for the first time, I noticed my mom was not only equally as confident and strong as the men, she was one of the most confident characters in the entire film. It made me realize women are just as powerful as men and that we can truly do anything they can–if not more!”
