I’m going to be honest here. I don’t always love “announcement” videos, whether it’s announcing a marriage, a pregnancy, or some other happy event. For me, they often feel staged, and worse, an intimate moment often becomes about the reaction, and not necessarily the news.
However, this pregnancy announcement video literally takes the cake–it’s sweet and emotional. And even better, it’s creative. One Texas mom-to-be, Alexa Goolsby, told her parents in a game inspired by Jimmy Fallon’s “The Whisper Challenge” from “The Tonight Show.”

So, what’s the premise? One person wears noise-cancelling headphones, while the other player says a phrase. The person with the headphones has to guess what the other is saying. It’s kind of like charades, but without pictures.
While Goolsby’s parents wore the headphones, her husband kept saying, “You are going to be a grandfather.” What made it funny, and sweet, was the fact that her father couldn’t figure out the message right away. But when he did, it was priceless.
