Guess what? It’s yet another Jewish holiday, which means that we have yet another vacation. This go around it’s Simchat Torah and something called Shemini Atzeret. The former involves celebrating the Torah and usually some raucous drinking and dancing. The latter I’m still not sure about.
For those of you in the New York City area, there are few fun things worth checking out in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
And if you feel like getting crafty on Simchat Torah, try making flags and caramel apples. These have both become somewhat of a tradition on the holiday.
And we have a few tips on books and music.
Can we ask?
It's important to us to keep the warm, joyfully Jewish community on Kveller accessible for all. Reader donations help us do just that. Can you spare a few to keep Kveller free? (We'll love you forever.)
Have fun.
See you Monday!
