You might be thinking, “What the hell is Shemini Atzeret?” Well, the good thing is: No one exactly knows, or can agree, on what this holiday is officially all about. Luckily, as Carla Naumburg shared with us, it’s basically a holiday to relax from all these other holidays. So that’s comforting.
Simchat Torah, on the other hand, is pretty easy to understand–and fun! It concludes the annual reading cycle of the Torah. And, you’re gonna love this, to celebrate, there’s a lot of drinking and dancing for adults and flag-making for kids. What’s not to love?
