Books make us happy. We hope you feel the same, because we’re giving away a new Jewish children’s book by Courtney Tisch, “The Number on Her Arm.”
So, what exactly is the book about? The book centers around a young girl’s grandparents visiting her from Canada. Over the course of the afternoon, the girl’s grandmother finally tells her the truth about the mysterious number on her arm–and her experiences during the Holocaust. The book was inspired by Tisch’s own grandparents, who were Holocaust survivors. Seems like the perfect way to start talking to your kids about the Holocaust.
And, in case you’re in the DC-area, the author will launching the book at Upshur Street Books in Washington, DC on Sunday, September 20 at 4 PM–could be a fun day out with your little one!
From 9/22/15- 9/30/15, you can even get the book discounted through Tisch’s website by using the code: KVELLER20
If you feel like this book could be a positive way to introduce your kid to the Holocaust outside of the classroom–don’t hesitate to enter completing the form below. We will choose three random winners next Wednesday, September 16th.
