Sad news for Roseanne Barr fans. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Barr revealed she uses and endorses medical marijuana because it alleviates the symptoms of her macular degeneration and glaucoma. In her blunt, no nonsense style, Barr admitted these diseases will ultimately blind her as they progress.
The Jewish comedian is known for her work on “Roseanne,” along with her liberalism and staunch pro-Israel views. She ran for president under the Peace and Freedom Party in 2012.
I can’t imagine carrying the knowledge that one day you will be unable to see is easy to live with, nor is admitting it to the public. Here’s wishing Roseanne many more years of sight–and health–to come.
