Nine Amazing Crafts to Help Decorate Your Sukkah

Now that you’ve finished crafting for Rosh Hashanah it’s time to switch gears and decorate for Sukkot! (Just wait until the Thanksgiving and Hanukkah decorations overlap this year. OY!) The great thing about Sukkot decorations is that you can save them and use these memories to decorate for years to come.

Garland is a fun addition to any space and you can make it out of tissue paper or yarn. Both would look great hanging from your sukkah roof.

1. Pumpkin garland from Over the Moon:

2. Pom-Pom Garland from 4 Men 1 Lady:

3. Pink Tissue Pom-Poms from Oh So Very Pretty:

4. These eggs are really fun and would be great with bold reds and browns. Yarn Eggs from Spoonful:

5. Fingerprint Corn from Little Lucy Lu:

Can’t find an Etrog? Why not make your own!

6. Citron Sun Catchers from Shiksa in the Kitchen:

7. Paper Mache Etrog from Here We Are Together:

8. I thought this mixed media sukkot craft was both fun and meaningful. You could find pictures of all of the friends who joined you for meals in your sukkah that year.

Sukkah Collage from Joyful Jewish:

9. Along those same lines, in the age of iPhones/Instagram it might be fun to set up a wall of your sukkah for a “sukkah photobooth” where you take photos of friends in your sukkah and then have them printed out to use for years to come! These square prints are swoon-worthy. You could string them up by attaching them to a long ribbon.

Hope some of these ideas were helpful and inspire you to get crafty and creative this week!
