The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, is less than a month away, starting pretty late this year on October 2, 2024. That means it’s time to start thinking about your holiday outfits! (We know it might mean a lot of other more stressful things, but here’s a fun one!)
Here at Kveller, we’ve selected some fun (and some punny) holiday outfits for the whole family, from exciting Jewish creators to big brands, full of lovely Rosh Hashanah prints and apples (because yes, it’s apple picking and first day of school season, which means there are lots of apple wares being sold by some of our favorite brands).
Happy shopping!

Rosh Hashanah apple and honey pajamas from Midrash Manicures

Hanukkah House’s adorable Rosh Hashanah kids dresses and outfits
Hanukkah House on Etsy has around 100 different choices of kids’ outfits (at the time of writing this article) for the High Holidays, from dresses with matching bows, to adorable pajamas, shirts and hoodies, all with apple prints or silly animal puns on them.
Shana tovah very hungry caterpillar shirt and onesie from JewGotItArt on Etsy
That image of the apple in Eric Carle’s “Very Hungry Caterpillar” always felt so Rosh Hashanah coded to me, so I’m definitely happy it’s now on a t-shirt.
I’m Here for the Apples & Apologies shirt and onesie by Mazal by Sara on Etsy
A High Holiday slogan that really gets it.
Once again, Gymboree is absolutely killing it with these apple outfits. We’ve got cute embroidered and Fair Isle apple cardigans, and even a really stylish button-up shirt with little apples embroidered on it.
Some really solid basic options here for both holiday services and a trip apple picking!
Monica + Andy apple sweater, vest, dress and more
I love the feel and quality of Monica + Andy clothes and their prints are also very aesthetically pleasing. Yes, these apples aren’t for Rosh Hashanah necessarily, but I feel good about supporting a brand that has quality items and also really does it up every year for Hanukkah.
Rosh Hashanah pun kids shirt and adult shirt from ChaiFiveArt on Etsy
These apples have cheesy and sweet (like honey!) Rosh Hashanah-themed puns that I love.
Apple Cat & Jack dress and shirt from Target
A fun and simple apple dress or shirt that you can add to your Target pickup order this week and feel extra prepared.
Apple swing dress from Urban Vintage
Make Rosh Hashanah rockabilly with this adorable dress.
Apple wrap dress from ModCloth
Channel your inner quirky art teacher with this lovely wrap dress!
Modest apple and honey dress and Sukkot etrog button-up (not technically Rosh Hashanah but generally High Holiday appropriate) from ArtofCass on Etsy
I love these colorful hand-drawn prints, and I’m so glad we have more etrog merch, because it’s truly needed.
Charli XCX “Brat” apple & honey shirt and sweet like honey kids’ shirt from Shtickle Pickle on Etsy
This apple and honey shirt for kids is adorable, but the real highlight is this punny and brilliant Charli XCX shirt featuring that “Brat” green and font, a riff on the British artist’s viral “Apple” song (and TikTok dance).
Hanna Andersson apple-themed clothing
Hanna Andersson’s clothes are well made and durable, they make some of my favorite Hanukkah pajamas on the market and I think their apple clothing is quite lovely and perfect for Rosh Hashanah, too.
The award for the most colorful, exciting apple apparel might go to Boden. Their clothes are also a bit pricier than the rest of the outfits on this list, and I’ve never personally bitten the bullet and allowed myself to buy from them, but I love so many of the apple fits, especially their sweaters and embroidered pull-up pants. I’m really upset that these don’t come in adult sizes.
