I believe the old adage goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.” Chaya Sarah Shachar, a Hasidic Israeli woman, took this literally. After 45 years of battling infertility with her husband, she gave birth this morning to a healthy baby boy. She is 65 years old.
Shachar is the oldest person in Israel to ever give birth, and just one year younger than the current world record holder.
The new mom and her husband attribute their newly found fertility luck to their late rabbi, who has been previously credited with aiding in the delivery of miracle babies.
