Purim Costumes for the Whole Family

Purim is getting closer and closer (February 23rd to be exact) and we’ve still got costumes on our minds. If your family is planning on going to any parades, parties, or Purim celebrations, we’ve got a few ideas for family costumes that you just might like. These collaborative costumes are super cute for both adults and kids, and it’s the one time of year wear it isn’t totally lame for a family to sport matching outfits. Enjoy!

1. Sock Monkeys

Something tells me a family of Sock Monkeys might be the cutest thing ever. This baby costume ($19.99) alone is enough to make anyone swoon, but pair it with the toddler girl costume ($24.90) the adult sock monkey costume ($36.04), or this more womanly take ($23.46) and you’ve got a winning set.

2. Star Wars

You know what they say: the family that fights intergalactic wars together stays together. A young Luke Skywalker ($21.51) paired with a baby Princess Leia ($11.87) is only made better with an adult Darth Vader ($45.95) or Stoomtrooper ($39.34). Hey, somebody’s got to be the bad guy, right?

3. Bible Characters

The bible never goes out of style, and Purim seems as perfect time as any to recreate some of our favorite characters. With a nod to the original Mom and Dad, this Adam & Eve costume set ($24) is only inappropriate at quick glance.  From there, you can go with this child-sized Moses costume ($14.99), a little Abraham costume ($22.28) or one of our matriarchs, Rivka ($22.27)

4. Dr. Seuss

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dr. Seuss came up with his characters for the sole purpose of the amazing costumes to follow suit. Help your family get Seussian with these Thing 1 & Thing 2 costumes ($34.99) for kids, or you can go with these characters from Horton Hears a Who like the elephant ($26.95) or the, um, whatever this guy is ($17.69). As for the adults, can’t go wrong with the Lorax ($15.17). Oh, and dressing up as the Grinch who Stole Christmas ($14.31) for Purim could be pretty funny, too.

5. The Muppets

The Muppets happen to make for some pretty amazing costumes, as well. How about Kermit and Miss Piggy ($49.99) with a little Gonzo ($4.38), Fozzie Bear ($12.81) or Animal ($10.99) tagging along?
